I have been a personal trainer since graduating from Illinois State University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science in 2012. I began training athletes, both prep and pro, in Florida at the Institute of Human Performance before moving back to Chicago. Health and fitness has been my passion since high school football and I have competed in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and strongman competitions. I hold the NSCA personal trainer cert, am a Level 1 Precision Nutrition Nutritionist, and hold several other specialized certifications as well. I believe in a well rounded and long term approach to health and fitness and encourage my clients to set multiple smaller, attainable goals to eventually reach their full potential.

Depending on my client's goals, a workout will usually consist of a short dynamic warm up, and a mix of traditional strength training combined with personalized corrective exercises to fix imbalances and improve movement quality. When the goal is fat loss these will be strung together in circuit format, with some short duration higher intensity work to finish the session. My workouts are meant to invigorate and build you up for continued improvements, not destroy you for the sake of sweating and feeling exhausted.

Sally, my longest tenured client (6 years) came to me ii 2012 initially wanting to relieve anxiety from a bad breakup. In the process she reduced her body fat by roughly 20%, dropped 4 dress sizes, and drastically improved her strength, endurance, and balance, all within the first year of training. Since then she has found out how much she loves doing the power lifts and has squatted 190 pounds and dead lifted 250 at nearly 60 years young.
