After spending his youth playing Lacrosse, Football, and Wrestling, Jesse became an avid runner and climber. He got into ultra-running in 2016 and has completed 50k's in the mountains of Utah, Colorado, and Kentucky. As a climber he focuses on the raw strength and acrobatics of bouldering and is currently working towards his first V6 send.

Anthony was intrigued early on, with the human body’s ability to perform amazing feats and the high level of physical performance and conditioning that can be achieved through proper training. He started researching and studying anatomy, workout design, and nutrition at the age of 12. Health and Fitness isn’t just what we do in the gym, with a trainer or on our own. It’s also how we live our every day lives to help maximise our results, from our hard work.
We need to put ourselves in the right environment, around the right people to help inspire and motivate ourselves to get the most out of life.
Training, is so much more than just lifting weights, running sprints or doing sit-ups. We need to also train the most important part of ourselves, that controls everything we do. Our mind! Controlling our mind can be difficult for some. I’ve also had to battle the demon inside my head that would say, “Lets stay home and watch Game of Thrones instead of training” or “Its too cold outside to train." Or the one I find the most difficult, “Lets eat a deep dish pizza instead of cooking a healthy meal." (Chicago has too many great restaurants). We all have been there and sometimes it can be hard to climb out of the hole we find ourselves in. I’m not just talking about fitness related either, it could also be the feeling of “where is my life headed?”
One of my favorite quotes from an old Samurai warrior, Miyamoto Musashi: “Know one thing, to know another”. Meaning, if we could really apply ourself through hard work in the gym, we can apply that philosophy in our every day life. Control our MIND. Train our BODY. Strengthen our SPIRT! I have been knocking on the door of health and fitness since an early age, 12 to be exact. Although this stemmed from insecurities originally, it ended up developing into an obsession with human anatomy, function, and performance. Then growing myself into an athlete, which led to playing basketball at the collegiate level, while majoring in Communications at Purdue Northwest. Post-college, I wanted to remain active and decided to dive head first back into fitness. Shortly thereafter, I started training as a bodybuilder, and earned a spot on the stage at the national level within my first year!

I was born in San Francisco and grew up running, biking, rowing wrestling and skiing (thanks largely to my father, the kind of guy who gets up at 5 a.m. to go rowing.) When I graduated from UCSB with a degree in English Literature I began to become more involved with boxing, muay-thai kickboxing and jiu-jitsu. All of these martial arts required high-levels of physical fitness to be competitive in, so I set-about learning the basics of strength conditioning. My goals in weight-training were never of an aesthetic nature so it was hard for me to imagine becoming a personal trainer, an industry I felt was, and is, dominated by vanity. But as more and more friends came to me for advice I realized I had a talent for explaining the principles of fitness in simple terms and helping people really improve their lives. When I moved to Chicago I received my NASM-CPT training certification and began working with a wide range of personal training clients. Some wanted to look better, some wanted to move better, some wanted to heal from injuries and each one succeeded with my help. I never saw myself in an industry so dominated by fads and hype, but by offering my clients real solutions to real problems and giving down-to-earth guidance for reaching clear goals, I found myself not only in this industry, but happy and thriving in it. I can’t think of anything I’d rather get up in the morning and do.

I immersed in both lifting and yoga at 16 years old, and fell in love with how it felt to move with strength, resilience, and confidence. I've been training professionally since 2006, sharing my passion to treat our bodies BETTER. I have been blessed in my education, working directly with the most skilled teachers, from Olympic level powerlifting coaches to world-renowned masters of nutrition. I take an integrative approach to movement - yoga, powerlifting, bodybuilding, bodyweight, and kettlebells. What I have found in all of this - the body loves to play and we can do this by learning and perfecting new movement skills.

I trained as an NPC figure athlete at the national level for 5 years under the tutelage of the BEST coaches in the business. The coaching, discipline, and experience taught me invaluable wisdom in guiding the body to peak physical condition. The meticulous manipulations of a competitor’s diet led me to certify as a Precision Nutrition Counselor. Years after my competition days, I could finally confront the punishing aspects of a "diet" and wanted to develop a program that would tackle our negative belief systems, the ones holding us back from our dreams. My studies have bridged into energy and consciousness work. This has opened me to tools that are part of the same embodiment evolution.
