After spending his youth playing Lacrosse, Football, and Wrestling, Jesse became an avid runner and climber. He got into ultra-running in 2016 and has completed 50k's in the mountains of Utah, Colorado, and Kentucky. As a climber he focuses on the raw strength and acrobatics of bouldering and is currently working towards his first V6 send.
Jesse also taught a popular Reformer class in Chicago and in 2017 was voted one of Chicago's Yoga/Pilates "Most Moving Instructor of the Year" by ClassPass
After years of self-training for these , he believes that the best way to improve your fitness in all ways is to focus on organic fitness and improving your ability to move through space in any terrain. Training should be fun but also have intent. Movement should be fluid, varying, and exploratory. He focuses on a mix of Calisthenics, Plyometrics, Mobility, Balance, Body Awareness, and Breathing. Principles of Pilates and Yoga also have influenced his movement program.
Jerry Yudt graduated from the university of Missouri- Columbia in 2009 with my degree in nutrition and fitness. He moved to Chicago in 2011 to pursue a career as a personal trainer. He quickly moved up the ladder and became a coach at the gym he is currently working at. As he was studying and getting new certifications to get promoted, he found himself listening to podcasts and reading books about self help and motivation a lot! He quickly realized that he wanted to help his clients out with more than just their workouts. He wanted to help them find happiness and sustainability during the whole process as well. So, he decided to rebrand himself as a lifestyle coach more than a personal trainer. His certifications include, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Fitness Service Specialist, ACE Sports Conditioning Specialist, Functional Movement Screen Level 1, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, USA Cycling Level 3 coach. His passion to help others reach their highest potential is unmatched

Anthony was intrigued early on, with the human body’s ability to perform amazing feats and the high level of physical performance and conditioning that can be achieved through proper training. He started researching and studying anatomy, workout design, and nutrition at the age of 12. The knowledge he gained, help lay the foundation for the training and health principles practiced at Magnus Fitness and Performance. Anthony has been involved in athletics since an early age. He played baseball on the national level, advanced to the Junior Olympics in track and field, won back to back championships in the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball Tournament (a nationwide event), and a bench press champion in the teenage and men’s open divisions.
Anthony is an Advanced Certified Personal Trainer, through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (a NCCA accredited program), and a graduate of the National Personal Training Institute. He also holds a degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Through the years, Anthony has worked with a wide range of individuals; the lay person looking to improve their level of fitness and overall well being, bodybuilders, figure competitors, Ironman athletes, and athletes from a wide array of disciplines.
As a lifelong athlete and science enthusiast, I received a B.S. in Biology & English writing from DePauw University, where I also fell into the health & fitness world. Four years later I'm not only a trainer but a certified Sports Nutritionist as well, and I have aspirations to obtain my PhD in nutritional science someday. I've also worked at LiveLeanRx as a DEXA Body Comp. & Metabolic Technician. I believe trainers must walk the walk if they dare talk the talk, so I'm also a nationally qualified competitive bodybuilder, nationally qualified strong(wo)man, and an elite level raw powerlifter. However, this is not the majority of my clientele! People train with me to grow stronger, (mentally and physically), to lose fat, improve overall health or re-comp their bodies in general. 🙂

Health and Fitness isn’t just what we do in the gym, with a trainer or on our own. It’s also how we live our every day lives to help maximise our results, from our hard work.
We need to put ourselves in the right environment, around the right people to help inspire and motivate ourselves to get the most out of life.
Training, is so much more than just lifting weights, running sprints or doing sit-ups. We need to also train the most important part of ourselves, that controls everything we do. Our mind! Controlling our mind can be difficult for some. I’ve also had to battle the demon inside my head that would say, “Lets stay home and watch Game of Thrones instead of training” or “Its too cold outside to train." Or the one I find the most difficult, “Lets eat a deep dish pizza instead of cooking a healthy meal." (Chicago has too many great restaurants). We all have been there and sometimes it can be hard to climb out of the hole we find ourselves in. I’m not just talking about fitness related either, it could also be the feeling of “where is my life headed?”
One of my favorite quotes from an old Samurai warrior, Miyamoto Musashi: “Know one thing, to know another”. Meaning, if we could really apply ourself through hard work in the gym, we can apply that philosophy in our every day life. Control our MIND. Train our BODY. Strengthen our SPIRT! Health and Fitness is my passion and has been for 25 years. Let me motivate you to reach your goals!
I have been knocking on the door of health and fitness since an early age, 12 to be exact. Although this stemmed from insecurities originally, it ended up developing into an obsession with human anatomy, function, and performance. Then growing myself into an athlete, which led to playing basketball at the collegiate level, while majoring in Communications at Purdue Northwest. Post-college, I wanted to remain active and decided to dive head first back into fitness. Shortly thereafter, I started training as a bodybuilder, and earned a spot on the stage at the national level within my first year!
I have my Personal Training Certification through American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), also am Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified. I enjoy working with a wide array of clientele. From clients who want to lose 60lbs, to though looking to improve movement, to sport specific training.
I was born in San Francisco and grew up running, biking, rowing wrestling and skiing (thanks largely to my father, the kind of guy who gets up at 5 a.m. to go rowing.) When I graduated from UCSB with a degree in English Literature I began to become more involved with boxing, muay-thai kickboxing and jiu-jitsu. All of these martial arts required high-levels of physical fitness to be competitive in, so I set-about learning the basics of strength conditioning. My goals in weight-training were never of an aesthetic nature so it was hard for me to imagine becoming a personal trainer, an industry I felt was, and is, dominated by vanity. But as more and more friends came to me for advice I realized I had a talent for explaining the principles of fitness in simple terms and helping people really improve their lives. When I moved to Chicago I received my NASM-CPT training certification and began working with a wide range of personal training clients. Some wanted to look better, some wanted to move better, some wanted to heal from injuries and each one succeeded with my help. I never saw myself in an industry so dominated by fads and hype, but by offering my clients real solutions to real problems and giving down-to-earth guidance for reaching clear goals, I found myself not only in this industry, but happy and thriving in it. I can’t think of anything I’d rather get up in the morning and do.
I immersed in both lifting and yoga at 16 years old, and fell in love with how it felt to move with strength, resilience, and confidence. I've been training professionally since 2006, sharing my passion to treat our bodies BETTER. I have been blessed in my education, working directly with the most skilled teachers, from Olympic level powerlifting coaches to world-renowned masters of nutrition. I take an integrative approach to movement - yoga, powerlifting, bodybuilding, bodyweight, and kettlebells. What I have found in all of this - the body loves to play and we can do this by learning and perfecting new movement skills.
I trained as an NPC figure athlete at the national level for 5 years under the tutelage of the BEST coaches in the business. The coaching, discipline, and experience taught me invaluable wisdom in guiding the body to peak physical condition. The meticulous manipulations of a competitor’s diet led me to certify as a Precision Nutrition Counselor. Years after my competition days, I could finally confront the punishing aspects of a "diet" and wanted to develop a program that would tackle our negative belief systems, the ones holding us back from our dreams. My nutrition-coaching packages take a multidimensional approach to wellness transformation - coaching calls, progressive meal plans, hormonal assessments, awareness practices ( https://www.activeevolution.net/nutrition/ ) .
By 2012, I concentrated my work with kettlebells and realized not only was I getting leaner but also getting stronger. More importantly, the kettlebell system was helping my clients move better. I am now an RKC Team Leader, co-teaching kettlebell certifications throughout the Midwest. I co-founded the KETTLE PRT (2014), a lifting competition that gives our community focus and motivation year-round. I have a network of kettlebell instructors and classes across the U.S. to help you prepare!
My studies have bridged into energy and consciousness work. This has opened me to tools that are part of the same embodiment evolution. When we approach the body with greater awareness, and aren’t afraid to turn away, deeper life messages are revealed. Human Fitness is not just about exercise…it is how we stand up in our bodies, the food we eat, the care toward our desires, and the words we choose to think and speak. It is a life-long practice and passion meant to be shared!
