I immersed in both lifting and yoga at 16 years old, and fell in love with how it felt to move with strength, resilience, and confidence. I've been training professionally since 2006, sharing my passion to treat our bodies BETTER. I have been blessed in my education, working directly with the most skilled teachers, from Olympic level powerlifting coaches to world-renowned masters of nutrition. I take an integrative approach to movement - yoga, powerlifting, bodybuilding, bodyweight, and kettlebells. What I have found in all of this - the body loves to play and we can do this by learning and perfecting new movement skills.

I trained as an NPC figure athlete at the national level for 5 years under the tutelage of the BEST coaches in the business. The coaching, discipline, and experience taught me invaluable wisdom in guiding the body to peak physical condition. The meticulous manipulations of a competitor’s diet led me to certify as a Precision Nutrition Counselor. Years after my competition days, I could finally confront the punishing aspects of a "diet" and wanted to develop a program that would tackle our negative belief systems, the ones holding us back from our dreams. My nutrition-coaching packages take a multidimensional approach to wellness transformation - coaching calls, progressive meal plans, hormonal assessments, awareness practices ( <a href="https://www.activeevolution.net/nutrition/" target="_blank">https://<a target="_blank" href="http://www.activeevolution.net/nutrition/">www.activeevolution.net/nutrition/</a> </a> ) .

By 2012, I concentrated my work with kettlebells and realized not only was I getting leaner but also getting stronger. More importantly, the kettlebell system was helping my clients move better. I am now an RKC Team Leader, co-teaching kettlebell certifications throughout the Midwest. I co-founded the KETTLE PRT (2014), a lifting competition that gives our community focus and motivation year-round. I have a network of kettlebell instructors and classes across the U.S. to help you prepare!

My studies have bridged into energy and consciousness work. This has opened me to tools that are part of the same embodiment evolution. When we approach the body with greater awareness, and aren’t afraid to turn away, deeper life messages are revealed. Human Fitness is not just about exercise…it is how we stand up in our bodies, the food we eat, the care toward our desires, and the words we choose to think and speak. It is a life-long practice and passion meant to be shared!

Every session EMPOWERS men and women to experience the potential of their own bodies. I create a space, for people to drop their to-do lists and come home to the body. You will practice movement from mobility flows to barbell deadlifts -creating balance in the body. I incorporate kettlebells, bands, bodyweight movements and barbells into all of my 1-on-1 sessions and group classes. The integrated approach has been the most effective system in helping people drastically improve strength, lean body mass, mobility, and overall body awareness.

She lost 100lbs over the course of 1 year. Her goal was to get herself healthy and simply "to lose 100lbs". We discovered a highly reactive food allergy in her diet--so aligning with the right food played a large role in her achieving this loss. This inspiring woman dedicated herself to competing in a Figure Competition just 8 months after emergency C-section. She took very good care of her body both before and during pregnancy and plateaued in her weight-loss a few months after labor. The goal was now to be "stage-ready". Once she committed to the competition, she lost a total of 30lbs over a 12-week period. She followed a very rigorous program of 4x/week weight training, 4-6x/week cardio (variable throughout contest prep), and the 12-week nutrition program.

Sunshine-outdoor patio-cold beer combo! If there's a game of any kind, I may not be good, but I'll be playing it! I love getting together with friends and clients - outdoor music fests, brunches, partner jogs, dream collaborating... and also vegging out with my boyfriend and our 2 adorable cats!
